When Cathy & Jon decided to have a wed­ding the rules were sim­ple. They wanted some­thing sweet and mean­ing­ful. She didn’t want to be the cen­ter of atten­tion. No walk­ing down the aisle {she walked from the side}, no for­mal pic­tures of her­self, and her beau­ti­ful daugh­ters and hand­some son were to be included. Jon just wanted every­one to have fun with some ol’fashion wed­ding tra­di­tions, south­ern style, like his accent.

The cou­ple shared a love of music which was evi­dent in every aspect of their wed­ding. The Sil­ver Trum­pet restau­rant was the per­fect place for the danc­ing cou­ple. Big Brass instru­ments dec­o­rated both the restau­rant and the recep­tion. A stand up Bass wel­comed guests in, and a live band inside beck­oned them to stay and have fun.

To both enhance and soften the décor the bride chose Gold satin linens for all her tables with gor­geous and full cen­ter­pieces from the always ele­gant French Buckets.

The Offi­ciant, Thomas Pot­wora, is an School Prin­ci­pal who dis­cov­ered his knack for wed­dings by chance. A friend asked him to con­duct their cer­e­mony and he took the job very seri­ously. After rave reviews he began receiv­ing calls from guests ask­ing him to con­duct their wed­dings.  He com­bined his cre­ative writ­ing tal­ents with his pas­sion for mak­ing each wed­ding unique.

Sweet and mean­ing­ful cer­tainly described this wed­ding, and the couple’s rela­tion­ship in general.

The chal­lenge with this event was find­ing a per­fect mid­dle ground. The Bride, Cathy did not want to be showy and tried to keep every­thing on a smaller scale, but also wanted every­thing to be grand and beautiful and it was just that!
